CAPE CONCENTRATE
Rizel Engineering was contracted to design, manufacture and supply Cape Concentrate with the following items for the manual harvesting of Tomatoes:
2 - 500kg Crate tipping systems
Which comprimises of a heavy duty support structure with a receiving bogey complete with swivels in bearings. The Bogey is rotated by means of a fork truck operated lever system
4 - Manual harvesting systems
Each harvesting system comprimised of the following;
Tractor drawn mounting bogey which accomodates the conveyor mountings and the hydraulic operating system which is driven from the tractor PTO
Infeed conveyor 1 (9500mm) which is has a suitably designed support frame with side guides with a 450mm wide modular belt. The Conveyor is raised via a hydraulic cylinder. The conveyor is driven via a hydraulic drive motor with a belt speed of 20m/min.
Infeed conveyor 2 (5900mm) which is has a suitably designed support frame with side guides with a 450mm wide modular belt. The Conveyor is raised via a hydraulic cylinder. The conveyor is driven via a hydraulic drive motor with a belt speed of 20m/min.
Elevating conveyor (4000mm) which has a suitably designed support frame manufactured from aluminium with a 600mm wide modular belt with 150mm high cleats fitted at 350mm pitches. The conveyor is stabilized via a cable system from the mounting bogey. The conveyor is driven via a hydraulic drive motor with a belt speed of 25m/min.
